Marita Reynolds is a local artist living in the Golden Plains, where she conducts Children’s drawing classes and Adult drawing classes . During isolation, Marita wasn’t unable to do the classes. She did a few short sessions online which was fine, but not the same as having children or adults doing their own artwork and developing their own uniqueness, in face to face classes.
So, what did she do with her time during Isolation?
Marita illustrated a children’s book that her sister wrote “What Happens in Your Garden after Dark?
The book features many Australian Animals and the animals have been inspired by her local environment and fauna, in the Golden Plains Shire of Victoria. Marita had plenty of time to sit and observe. The book has now been self – published and she looks forward to releasing it to you for the first time at her Open Studio on Saturday 28th November, from 10am to 4.30pm at 13 Camden Mews Bannockburn .
The book is suitable for preschool children. The sequel “What happens after dark in your house?’ is currently under construction.
