Floating wooden frames are quite popular at the moment, but there are other ways of finishing the edges of your canvas professionally. These include painting then a solid colour, leaving them white, or continuing the painting onto the edges. Regardless of the method you use, it’s important you do this in a considered and consistent way – especially if you are aiming to exhibit your work.
