Our history
GP Arts Inc. was established in 2008 as a not-for-profit community group. The Golden Plains Shire is located in the south of Victoria, Australia, stretching from Ballarat in the north to Geelong in the south.
Our purpose
- Bannockburn Art Group. A low cost well attended weekly art group aimed at friendly social interaction for all ages and abilities. Everyone is welcome, whether you are just starting out or an established practicing artist.
- The Golden Plains Arts Trail initiative originated in 2008 and brought art lovers and artists of all kinds together over a single weekend via a series of open artist studios and community venues, for viewings, gatherings and everything else to do with art.
We welcome new members of all ages and skill levels. Join us either as a GP Arts Inc member or GP Arts affiliated organisation member.
Our committee
Our 2025/26 Committee includes a number of new positions, enabling us to run regular events, build a stronger online presence and keep both GP Arts members and members of the wider community informed of creative, skill development and social opportunities available across the region.
