Why should I become a member of GP Arts Inc?

Artists need to be a members of GP Arts Inc in order to participate in the GP Community Arts Trail which runs over a weekend in March every year. This is a huge event for Golden Plains Shire and attracts many visitors to the shire.

How much does membership cost?

There are two levels of Membership:

Option 1 Basic $10 per year

  • participation in GP Community Arts Trail
  • insurance for your exhibitions and events

Option 2 Standard $20 per year

  • participation in GP Community Arts Trail
  • insurance for your exhibitions and events
  • artist page on GP Arts Inc website

How do I become a member of GP Arts Inc.?

Simply click here to access the membership form, fill in the details and pay your desired level of membership.

When is the deadline for paying my annual Membership fee?

31st October is Membership deadline date. However, anyone can become a members anytime throughout the year. Please note that because our fees are extremely reasonable, no discounts occur, if you join after the 31st October.

Can I get a discount if I want to start my Membership after the annual membership deadline?

No, because our fees are extremely reasonable, no discounts occur, if you join after the 31st October.

Can I get any discounts as a member of GP Arts Inc.?

As a member of GP Arts Inc you can become an individual member of Regional Arts Victoria for half the usual membership fee.

Community Arts Trail

When is the next Community Arts Trail being held?

Community Arts Trails are usually held in March of each year, when able. Registration to be in the Community Arts Trail needs to be completed by the end of August the year before, to be part of this event.

Equipment

What type of equipment can I borrow from GP Arts Inc.?

By previous written/emailed notice to gpartsinc11@gmail.com you can apply to borrow metal display frames, white display frames, hanging materials associated with the frames, 2 gazebos and a folding table. Please note you need to specify dates to be picked up and returned. Please note you are also responsible for transporting the equipment.

Insurance

Is my home studio insured for visitors when I become a member of GP Arts Inc.?

Yes, you are covered for public liability. You do need to put in writing to gpartsinc11@gmail.com when you are planning on opening your studio, so that it can be minuted by the committee at our general meetings.

When can I use the insurance coverage provided by GP Arts Inc.?

You can use the insurance coverage provided by GP Arts Inc. for open studios, GP Arts events, running workshops and studio exhibitions.

Participation

I am not an artist, can I still support GP Arts Inc.?

There are several ways you can support GP Arts Inc. You may want to support our events as a volunteer, attend our events to show your support for our members, join our mailing list here to be informed about what’s happening or show your support with a donation.

Are there any social events run by GP Arts Inc.?

Besides the Community Arts Trail, GP Arts Inc. organise regular ‘Let’s Make Art’ Days, various member events such as the Pairing project, digital communications collaborations and speed art. Keep up to date with our latest activities on the Our news page
